Lead and empower the web designers under my stead to become equally competent in all areas of Web site design, including graphic design, layout coding and user interface analysis through the most up-to-date software and training available. Online Design & Traffic Manager (2002-2009)
Palm Beach Newspapers, Inc.

Managed a traffic team responsible for the testing and flighting of online creative utilizing APT powered by Yahoo and the DoubleClick DART online ad serving system. At the same time served as Online Design Manager, acting as liaison between designers, advertising, editorial and IT Programmers.

Manage the design and coding of The Palm Beach Post family of Web sites. Organize meetings to determine the design goals of all related parties. Lead the creation of various design mockups using Adobe Photoshop, keeping in mind coding restrictions. Hand coded the approved design utilizing HTML, CSS and JavaScript making sure to adhere to Web standards to ensure consistent appearance across platforms and browsers. Coordinated with corporate headquarters in implementation of design in content management system. Coordinated with vendors Gabriels, Cityfeet, Yahoo, Harvest, AdPay & Morris DigitalWorks in the implementation of design and layout.

Led the creation of The Palm Beach Post’s first online advertising creative department. Developed design guidelines, specifications and creative process for online advertising media. Trained key individuals in the print advertising art department on the creation of gif, flash, rich media and video-based ads to run on the family of Web sites. Enforced online graphics standards for Palm Beach Newspapers, Inc. 

Regional Online Graphic Designer  (2000 – 2002)

Designed online advertising creative, rich media and Web site design. Worked with local sales force to develop creative specs for sales presentations.  Clients included University of Dayton Athletics, Federated Department Stores, The Kravis Center and JFK Medical.  

Web Producer  (1997 – 2000)
The Palm Beach Post 

Responsible for the creation and maintenance of www.hurricanecentral.com, one of the leading tropical storm Web sites.  Worked with newsroom to create and publish interactive packages. Assisted in effort to create an automated process for the updating of tracking maps online.  Coordinated with 26 radio, television and newspapers around the country to provide them tropical system news and maps.
